AWS Certificate Manager

AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) is a service designed by Amazon Web Services that simplifies the process of provisioning, managing, and deploying Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) certificates for use with AWS services and your internal connected resources. SSL/TLS certificates are used to secure network communications and establish the identity of websites over the Internet as well as resources on private networks.

With ACM, you no longer need to purchase SSL/TLS certificates from third-party certificate authorities or manage the renewal process. ACM automates the process of renewing certificates, ensuring that your websites and applications remain secure without manual intervention, allowing you to focus on your core business operations.

ACM is tightly integrated with other AWS services, such as Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon CloudFront, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk, enabling easy deployment and management of certificates with these services. It supports both public and private certificates, allowing flexibility for various application needs.

The service also provides a centralized dashboard to manage the lifecycle of your certificates. You can request new certificates, track renewal status, and monitor utilization across your AWS resources.

In essence, AWS Certificate Manager is a powerful tool for handling the complexities of SSL/TLS certificates, providing enhanced security, streamlined management, and reduced operational overheads.
